God our Father,
I come before you with a humble heart. Before I examine myself, give me your light to know my sins, and your grace so I may truly hate my sins and not return to them.

Lord Jesus, help me to remember my sins since my last worthy confession and to see my day in the light of your commandments. Let your Word guide me, not my excuses.

Holy Spirit, grant me honest courage to tell the truth about what I did in thought, word, deed, and omission. I am sorry for my sins. Help me to ask forgiveness and to make a firm resolution to do better.

I place my hope in your mercy, and I turn to you, Lord, for healing. Amen.
